VibroStop Standart is the basic mount used for sound insulation of the KNAUF profile when soundproofing the ceilings and the walls. It provides reliable soundproofing against the domestic noise. This vibration insulating hanger is great for sound insulation of apartments due to its small thickness and suitability for use in thin soundproofing structures. VibroStop Standart mounted cladding improves sound insulation for up to 14 dB with thickness of only 4 cm!
Specifications
The vibration insulating hanger is a metal U-shaped bracket with an integrated toroidal-shaped EPDM rubber resilient element. VibroStop Standart anti-vibration fastener U-shaped bracket is made of 1.2 mm thick galvanized steel ensuring no sagging under the load (the unbendable metal).
Properties and advantages
- The anti-vibration EPDM rubber layer reduces significantly the vibration load over the profile.
- The mount design is fully compatible with the Knauf profile system.
- The minimum thickness of sound insulation of walls and ceiling is 40 mm only.
Mounting technique
VibroStop Standart vibration insulating hangers are mounted similar to the conventional KNAUF direct hangers. The fasteners are secured to the floor structures with 6 x 40 mm sized anchor wedges or fired pins. Each anti-vibration fastener is designed to withstand a load of 15 kg. The average consumption is 3 pieces per 1 m2.
